Myriam Gendron-Dupont Masterclass Nov 11th_Sat_10:30am-12:30pm
Born in Quebec, Canada, Myriam Gendron-Dupont started music lessons at age 4. Her love of music was apparent early on. Throughout her youth, she played with various orchestras in the greater Portland Metro area. Most notably, Myriam played in Metropolitan Youth Symphony’s top symphony orchestra for four years under the direction of Lajos Balogh, and began playing with the Portland State University Symphony her senior in high school. She studied cello privately with Beverly Lebeck and Hamilton Cheifetz. She began performing at church and teaching beginner students as a teenager, and her high school senior project was to start up and direct a string orchestra in her town community of Vernonia.
Myriam always knew she would study music in college and follow a career path imbedded in the music world. She attended PSU on a full scholarship and obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Music and a Masters in Education. During her college years, she started playing at musical events and continued to give private cello lessons and tutoring in music theory. She obtained her teaching license and has worked over 10 years in the public education system.
Today Myriam lives in SE Portland with her husband and teenage daughter. She plays Assistant Principal Cellist with Oregon Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra, teaches full time middle school orchestra , teaches private lessons, and performs with chamber groups.

Music Theory For Beginners – every Saturday at 1:15-2pm/$15
Music Theory For Intermediate Level Students – every Saturday – 45 min time slot will be announced after registration at least three students/ $15
Saturday morning classes – twice per month:

Chamber Music class – intermediate level
Chamber Music class – advanced level
For the students who is taking the studio private lessons:
$5 one class, $8 two classes, $12 three classes,
for others – $15 each class.
